I am currently an undergraduate student studying Recreational Therapy at the University of Utah. I first discovered recreational therapy as a participant at the SLC VAMC after a difficult transition out of the military. I had felt experiences through recreational therapy that increased my confidence and self-esteem and brought joy back into my life. This inspired me to heal and pursue my education and career as a recreational therapist helping others. I whole-heartedly believe in the value of recreational therapy and am passionate about empowering others to grow and heal through recreation.
